The Role

The Job:

Pleckgate High School wishes to appoint a hardworking, enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher. If you are experienced, enthusiastic, open to new ideas, want to express yourself in a school where the pupils value mathematics as a subject and have a flexible ‘can do’ approach, we would welcome an application from you. 


What does this job do?

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the Academy’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.


What are the job requirements?

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Qualified to at least Degree Level
  • Experience of teaching preferred subject throughout the Key Stages
  • Ability to deliver consistently high-quality lessons to pupils of all ages and abilities.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the new National Curriculum in the subject.
